We're looking for a talented front-end intern who wants to learn how to turn designs into fast, polished and scalable websites. We work for brands such as Toyota, Bacardi, SONOS and ID&T. During your internship you contribute to real client projects. You build components and pages with Next.js and Astro, work with Node.js for tooling and APIs, and dive into Shopify themes to bring stores to life. You learn how to write clean, reusable code, how to keep an eye on performance and accessibility, and how to work closely with designers and developers to ship a design pixel-perfect.

You're not here to make coffee and you won't be parked in a corner with a standalone practice assignment. From the first weeks you're part of the team, you join the meetings and you see your work show up on sites that people actually use. That's exciting, but you're never on your own.

You get a dedicated, experienced supervisor who makes real time for you. Every week you sit down together to review your work, answer your questions and adjust your learning goals. Your code gets reviewed like everyone else's: honest, constructive and aimed at making you better.

We also actively use AI tooling in our development process. You'll learn how to use it to work faster, and just as importantly, how to keep understanding what's happening under the hood.

Beyond the work, you're simply one of us. You join team events, socials and the Friday drinks. Many of our interns stay with us after their internship, and that's exactly what we're hoping for.

What will you do?

You start with guided tasks and build that up over the course of your internship into real responsibility. By the end, you deliver parts of a project independently.

Turning Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive interfaces
Building components and pages with Next.js and Astro
Working with Node.js for build tooling, scripts and simple APIs
Contributing to Shopify stores, including theme customisations
Keeping an eye on performance, accessibility and clean, reusable code
Getting your code reviewed and learning from the feedback
Working with designers and developers and presenting your work within the team
Taking ownership of part of a project independently once you're ready

What do you bring?

You don't need to know everything yet. We're mainly looking for someone with solid basics, plenty of curiosity and the drive to get better fast. We'll teach you the rest.

You're studying software development, front-end development or something similar
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript and the drive to deepen it quickly
Affinity with or curiosity about modern frameworks such as Next.js, React or Astro
A first exposure to Node.js and the npm ecosystem is a plus
Attention to detail: you want an interface to look exactly like the design
A proactive, eager-to-learn attitude and a desire to solve problems creatively
You dare to ask questions when you're stuck
Good communication skills in Dutch or English
Available for an internship of at least four months, preferably four or five days a week

Nice to have

Experience with Shopify, Liquid or another eCommerce platform
Your own GitHub, side project or portfolio we can look at
Experience with Git and working with branches and pull requests
Interest in performance, accessibility or SEO
